I wouldn't call it the definitive Dark Souls experience. DoA instead moves somewhere between Remaster, Master Mode and Kaizo. It has some great ideas and plays with your feelings in a way that's sort of at your expense, but usually has you smiling at the end. The biggest flaw is probably that it hides some of it's best and most interesting content in ways that you will almost certainly not discover on your first playthrough.

Nevertheless, if you want to play Dark Souls at least somewhat like the first time again, this mod is your best chance.
