One of the greatest games of all time. The last few levels suffer from rushed development, but if you can look past that, it's an achievement few other games can match. There is so much intension and care in the level design, the combat, the world design, the worldbuilding, the character design, the sound. It's a masterpiece, and a game that will remain influential for years to come. Even games that are not in the soulslike neighborhood, or even the action genre, can learn a lot from Dark Souls.
