Equal parts terrifying and joyful. I'm not typically a fan of survival games, but the tension created by the light survival mechanics and the powerful unknowing mystery of the deep ocean is fantastic. The beauty of the fish and the biomes coupled with the desire to explore, to find out what's happened on the planet you're dropped into - it's some of the most fun exploration I've ever experienced in a game. Very similar hooks to something like Outer Wilds (but in the ocean, and a little less polished). Not quite perfect due to some jank and let down a little by its ending sequence, this is practically a must-play for anyone interested in exploration, survival, or just good games.
