Pretty cool - appreciated some of this more than the main game. I liked the light and dark mechanics, and the puzzle/objective focused mechanics were more fun than the base game equivalent (spawning more waves of enemies). Completing the Alan Wake tie-in and fully connecting the universes was interesting as well, even though I wasn't a big fan of Alan Wake. I really liked the monster design - Hartman was a memorable figure from Wake, and his disfigurement here was genuinely freaky. I particularly enjoyed how the story of this one focused largely on pursuing/being pursued by a single discrete enemy rather than a formless "hiss," and it made creeping through some of the darker corridors of this game quite spooky. New weapon mods (that actually change the way you play) and weapon also were a welcome addition for playstyle variety.

That said, I didn't really appreciate the difficulty spike in base game enemies here - I might've died more in this DLC than in the whole base game. I also appreciated that this took place in a new sector of the Oldest House, but there was little to differentiate the investigations sector in terms of design or archetecture - I would've liked a more defined look or a design that more clearly indicated the function. Despite the quality of all the many documents, videos, and audio recordings you can find in this DLC, it's also really short. I read someone who wrote that it felt more like an extra quest from the base game, not an expansion, and I think I agree. It ends pretty quickly, which kind of sucks - I would've played more!
