This game is a goddamn Masterpiece, ahead of its time in almost every way.

The music is a masterclass in making the player feel immersed in its world. The combat is a fresh take on the turn-based system Final Fantasy and Dragon quest were so familiar with, and the dual and triple techs elevate it past most other JRPGs. The characters are all phenomenal and Akira Toriyama's art brings this world to life in a way that I can't even begin to describe with my vocabulary.

The themes that this game covers are integral to its identity, and it does an incredible job of exploring them while keeping it simple. It has a lot of depth that can be explored if you choose to give it the time that it deserves.

I truly cannot recommend this game enough, it feels like a game that can come out today and would still be regarded as one of the best games of all time.
