Final Fight CD is a bit of a case of Sega doing what Nintendon't. The SNES port notably was incredibly lacking, but this one not only restores all three player characters, the industrial stage AND has two-player, but it also adds in new CD-quality audio and a Time Attack mode.
Poison and Roxy also made it to the localization of this port unlike the SNES one, because NoA thought they had cooties or something. They got covered up a bit more, but that's a metric fuckton better than straight up turning them into dudes.
The enemy count still doesn't get as huge as the arcade version, but hey what are ya gonna do? It's a fucking fantastic port that's well worth trying even if you have access to the arcade original.
