Need for Speed ProStreet is the first game I ever played, so naturally it's one of my favorite games. I really enjoyed replaying this game on Steam Deck.

The vibe and style of this game is very unique and always brings a smile to my face. The UI; the announcer; the car selection; the music; the visuals; the customization. All of it is very nostalgic for me, and I think that most people can get connected to it.

The game's structure makes me feel like I'm continuously improving and getting better as it goes on, even by my 5th playthrough of it. Not only is it fun, but it really rewards skillful play, even above simply getting first place. Doing drifts worth over ten thousand points and beating a grip race so fast that you're a minute under target time will let you skip events, this really helps the game feel better the more you play.

The car selection is excellent, and so are the things you can do with your cars. The visual customization is quite in depth, and the pre-built cars from opponents look quite cool. Upgrading is structured, so nothing feels too much more important than anything else. Tuning also makes quite a difference and it's quite satisfying to get everything on your car working just as you want it.

There are 9 different event types split across 4 different types of races. The regular circuit races are fun and intense, with the tracks having interesting design, every single location feels unique. The drag races aren't exactly unique to this game, but the structure of it makes it satisfying to play. Drifting is fun because it heavily rewards drifts that are long and done with speed, tracks range from two big turns to being a whole circuit, making drift tracks feel consistently unique. The speed races are the best part as they are the hardest part of the game and require a lot of speed and focus in the player, the sheer chaos and intensity really feels a lot of fun.

This game is incredible, I heavily recommend it, it's truly addicting.
