Off the bat let me say, I did not buy this game for the gooner shit. I bought it because everything I saw made me think it’s be an action game like Bayonetta, DMC, etc. I was half right? It’s a mix of something like that and a soulsike, and as my first soulslike, I’d say it does an ok job…for the first 75%. The back half of this game will kick your shit I’m so hard and I only won the battles by just getting lucky sometimes, I never did anything different I just won. And it sucks because I really did enjoy the first half but the back half and fights like the unidentified Naytiba just make this a slog. Half my playtime was on the last like 5 bosses. It was incredibly annoying. Just like the story. Just nothing to say. It was awful and I couldn’t skip the cutscenes. Boo. It’s disappointing because the start of the game is some really really fun boss fights but the back half and the “exploration” featured in the game make it a let down. Still well working and fun in those fights. But never besides that.
