A short experience surviving in the Brazilian backlands. The story takes about two hours with some exploration. It's a good time for the run.

The main positives are the charming art style with focus on story. Arida has character design and an environment that feels fresh. The devs did a great job focusing on the people and the area's history. This game did not try to be anything else which is awesome.

The negative, unfortunately, is the gameplay. It's hunger and thirst management with fetch quests. It's fun at first; however, the game does get repetitive as you're constantly monitoring your health as you're exploring. You have to gather everything you see so you can craft food and restore your tools. The quests have you go back and forth to previous areas. When you're exploring it may not be as noticeable, but once I completed a second run for an achievement it was obvious.
