None of this game's flaws overcome how utterly charming, gorgeous, and adorable it is. Those flaws are mostly what you'd expect from a "big sprite" platformer: difficult to distinguish between foreground and background, loose controls, a camera zoomed in too far, etc. On top of that, it's often unclear what is grabbable and what will hurt the player, as you can get hit even on your outstretched hands. This leads to a decent number of deaths which feel unfair, but as long as you play with passwords to avoid the limited continues, it's not a big deal.

The parts with the drums controlled like shit, but the sections where you babysit a metronome are incredible.
