This game is anything but Bomberman for your pocket, I'll sue them for false advertising.

If it's not a Bomberman game what could it possibly be? To my surprise, it's a 2D platformer with the main gimmicks of a classic Bomberman game merged altogether for a pretty decent result.
It's quite literally Bomberman but in a 2D platformer, you kill all enemies on screen, get powerups from soft blocks, and go to the exit. The game is a bit short with a total of 25 levels (5 worlds with 5 stages each) and a boss per world. Some enemy placement can be a bit frustrating but it's overall decent and the stages are short so they don't overstay their welcome. The bosses also kinda suck in true Bomberman fashion, they all share similar pattern attacks and can be frustrating to beat.
There's also a secondary mode that feels like a predecessor to doodle jump where you jump and climb a tower, a decent side mode for a really short game, though the game is still lacking content.

Also, this game is a milestone for the Bomberman franchise since it's the first decent Gameboy Bomberman game! Everyone, say congratulation to Hudson, they finally made a decent Bomberman game on the go- wait nevermind it's still just a spinoff...
