It's hard to make a great mobile game, but man, this game comes pretty close.

The game, as you would expect, involves you controlling various characters throughout the Marvel Universe. As of this review, there are currently 264 characters available in the game, each with their own movesets. Many characters even have unique skins that have movesets entirely different from those of their base character, giving you new ways to play your favorite Marvel heroes and villains.

Like with other mobile games, it does suffer a bit from power creep, but compared to other mobile games I've played, it's a lot more forgiving. I can come back to the game from a hiatus of over a year and still find several of my characters to be competitive. I also find it a bit more forgiving than other mobile games when it comes to payment. I do think paying a little bit of money is essential to succeed in the game, but I've never felt compelled to fork out massive amounts of money, especially since the game also rewards you simply for investing time into it.

I also appreciate that the developers try to find new ways to breathe life into the game, whether it's with new game modes, new mechanics, or new characters, it helps keep the community alive and strong after so many years.

If you're a fan of Marvel or just looking for a new mobile game to play, I suggest trying this out for a couple of months and seeing if it's your cup of tea. It can surprisingly be a fun gaming experience.
