lot of cute stuff and variety in this but was honestly weaker level design wise from mario land 1. A bit disappointing

I am surprised to hear this. I haven't played Mario Land 1 since I was a kid, but recently played Mario Land 2 and thought the level design was fantastic. I'll have to go back and check out the first game.
