The definition of quantity over quality. It's a wonder they even bothered adding story levels to this, it's clear that nearly 0 effort was put into them whatsoever. Maybe if they scrapped them then the open world side missions could've been more than just fetch quests that have you going back and forth between planets with a terrible tracking system. The sheer amount of bugs as well as lack of QoL features is inexcusable, especially so long after launch.

Where the game does shine and is actually fun is when you're exploring each open world planet, making your way through the collectables with a BotW/Scribblenauts type of 'make your own solution' approach. Even this wears thin eventually though as the same puzzles are repeated over and over and the rewards for most missions are joke characters just made up for the game.

The humor does land a lot of the time, but man these games had so much more charm when they didn't talk.
