Compared to the first game this one is a lot more functional, never suffering from slowdown and overall having much better level design. Subweapons are back, and you have more mobility on the ropes, both of which lead to less frustrating combat. Unfortunately it falls apart a bit at the end with an annoying fight against your son, and an insanely cheap and tedious final fight with Dracula. Still, for a Gameboy spin-off it's not too bad, and there's some pretty good background art and catchy music.
