There are two ways to look at the game: As a player or as a manager, I played as a player so that's what I'll review:
I love RPGs, turn based RPGs, card games, strategy games, pokemon games, and everything this game is tagged under, with that in mind... Axie Infinty, as a game, is bad but you can make money playing if you are good enough. Although, you need to be a god to make good money with it, or rich, but at that point why even waste your time on nft games?
I wanted to make money playing this, I got a chance to play for a month and I made like 50 dollars that turned into 30 when the coin went down. It was fun to learn the mechanics and pokemon-style elements but the game itself is very, VERY repetitive and it gets boring quickly. I ended up making spreadsheets of the damage output and combos of my axies just to make it more interesting even tho I never got to use them.
In order to make money you have to spend at least 3~4 hours playing every single day, doing the exact same things over and over again. And at the begining it sounds easy and fun, you can play MOBAs for years doing "the same thing", but this is not the same, in MOBAs or other online games you can find new ways to play, new builds, try different strategies, different characters or have our own stlyle. Not in Axie Infinity, this is literally the same every time. The extent of your strategy goes as far as how much you paid for your team. Strategies don't change, stats don't change, there are no builds or depth to the game other than net worth.

Even so, I'm glad I had a chance to experience what chinese videogame currency farmers feel like, and it was fun for a week, and painful for the next three, the only incentive is the money.
