great mechanics, great postgame, and a shit ton of side content. this game’s implementation of daily events is probably my favorite in the series, as it’s complemented by the map size and design. backtracking for apricorns never feels like a chore.

the games opens up a bit after the 4th badge, and there’s some neat optional dungeons that are fun to explore. kanto is SO much better than it was in gsc, as they added back a lot of the missing dungeons, and scaled up the gym leaders’ levels.

need I say more? 10/10!!!
