I liked but didn't love the first Psychonauts, but this one is a true improvement on every level. The new powers are a blast to use, the ability upgrades give you a real reason to collect explore and rank up, and the writing and characterization is top-notch. The ending felt a tad rushed and I didn't love the final boss fight, but all in all a stellar game. Hopefully a Microsoft-owned Double Fine means more of this franchise is possible.
