This game describes itself as a deck building rogue-like with horror elements. My least favorite genres of video game are deck building, rogue-likes, and horror, so admittedly I was never going to enjoy this as much as other people. Even with that though, I gotta be honest, I don't get the hype around this one.

The card game mechanics were fun, but I didn't realize what I needed to do to finish Act 1 the first time and they were not fun enough for me to want to go through that whole thing over again. I ended up just editing my save and cheating to make it through a second time. I ended up having to do the same to beat the final boss of Act 3.

The reveals of the meta nature of the story were fun but honestly felt kind of played in 2022, and the bad acting in the FMV sequences didn't help. Idk, not my favorite.
