Revisit after me and my gf played through the game
Its worse than the original. I watched my girlfriend play it and god it is miserable. Its DK64 but Sonic and somehow even worse! You just lallygag with the other characters until Sonic comes in and does the most annoying fights in a game you ever done.
The new ending is worse, the puzzles/challenge worse, the characters are just worst Sonic with some stupid gimmick (they hardly can even fight enemies Tails only throws fucking wrenches), the game still fills to slippery and annoying make some of the challenge especially with Knuckles, and godly holy fuck the looping 4 songs will drive anyone mad.
The end don’t justify the means and this dlc makes every I hate about this game even more glaring. Sonic has always had an identity crisis but this is the worst. It wants to be BOTW but also an Action RPG Final Fantasy game but also DMC (and god they try to do shit that is so annoying to do in this engine it should be fucking illegal) and it just fails.
I hope they actually understand why this game is a solid 6/10 and try to add on cause something can work here but for now, it just doesn’t seem like it.
