I found the origin of the "Mr. Bones' Wild Ride". It was this game.

Mr. Do's Wild Ride has you as Mr. Do navigating a eloquently placed rollercoaster track, collecting cherries and evading various moving objects that mean you harm. See a few rollercoaster cabs headed your way? Climb up a ladder to avoid getting hit! See a pirate ship? Don't touch it! Wrecking balls also line some stages, forcing you to account for their presence as well. The game is all about timing, particularly the counter that starts at 4500 and dwindles down rapidly. Hitting zero is - you guessed it, game over.

I have to hand it to the developers, they made getting hit so incredibly comical and technically impressive for 1984 you would think they implemented ragdoll physics. You bounce around the screen several times and land somewhere, before respawning and getting another shot at life.

Not only does the name serve as the inspiration for the Rollercoaster Tycoon meme, so does its premise. Once you beat all the levels, the game continues indefinitely until you die. Fortunately, it's easy to perish in this game, so unlike the guests of your RCT theme park, it's fairly easy to get off this one.

With the game being nearly 40 years old, you probably won't be finding yourself much reason to play this outside of a chance arcade encounter or a trawl through your MAME ROM pack. Mr. Do's Wild Ride is a challenge, with the most viewed English-language upload on YouTube revving up the Cheat Engine on their last life. It makes me wonder how many quarters this thing brought home in its day - my guess is a fair few.
