If you told me this back in middle school, I would have scoffed. But in retrospect, yeah, like, holy shit. Thankfully, I don't think it ever gets as bad as anything in the third game. But it's entirely because of that third game that I no longer find some of the content in this game acceptable.

@Yultimona oh I could 100% imagine a middle schooler horror enthusiast thinking this is awesome because it’s very transgressive and inflammatory in its content. Considering this angle, I can see some similarities between Postal 2 and this series in terms of the boundaries they cross and the way they utilize shock. But I think Postal 2 sits in a bit messier of a space in its post 9/11 commentary on violence whereas Lucius kind of feels like it fueled by a hatred for non-normative bodies. Thanks for sharing = )

@HaloBlues One example I can think of off the top of my head is that the only black character in the game is killed in a way that mirrors real-life racial violence in the United States. It's not super overt, as you're not explicitly told that that's what it is. But, yeah, when you notice it—that's what it is.

The thing I mentioned about the third game is literally the Ku Klux Klan, by the way. And they're not demonized or targeted in any way. No, they're just casually used for the death scene of another black man—curiously enough, also the only character that's black in that entire game.

There's more, I'm sure of it. But that's the most offensive of the lot.
