exceptionally half-baked. the arena sucks, it probably has the worst story of any of the games, part selection is absolutely dire. in spite of all that, though, it's fun as hell; the speed you can get here is insane, and the look and feel of the mechs is incredible. the game succeeds wildly at its power fantasy goals, and it makes the game a joy to play. really good game held back by bizarre decisions and lack of quality in core areas
