this is a tough one for me, because on one hand, it's fun as hell and has basically everything i'm looking for in an armored core game. but on the other, i'm just... terrible at it. everything is so fast that i struggle to keep the enemy in my sights, even with auto-sight on, and the addition of side, back, and over boosters, as well as stabilizers and FRS tuning, mean that i still feel completely out of my depth when it comes to building in this game. it's fucked up. apparently the next two routes are a lot harder? so we'll see how that fares.. but even with all of that, i still really like this game; it has some of the best pure spectacle out of any of these games, and one of the best narratives, too. even if i suck at NEXT on NEXT combat, and don't know how to build for the life of me, this is an amazing fucking game. oh yeah, the music is crazy too. and the mech designs and parts have never looked cooler - i like them even more than ac6s parts, which is saying something. basically: cool ass game, wish i was good at it
