This game is such a cute little gem! It's called "Ochaken no Heya" which means "Tea Dog Room". Ochaken is a franchise that unfortunately never made it to the states. The characters are little puppies that are themed by different types of tea.

This game is a cross between a card/puzzle game and a virtual pet game. The main objective is to collect matching furniture for your Ochaken by playing card games or puzzle games. There isn't any guide online that I've been able to find, but it seems that each dog has its own set of furniture that matches its own personal style that you can decorate the room with. Eventually, once you complete a room, another floor will appear on top and eventually you will get a whole apartment of different ochaken rooms!

Honestly, while this game is super cute and charming, it can actually be kind of difficult at times. You kind of have to be familiar with and good at all the classic card games (like poker for example). I am neither of those two, so a lot of these games I had to figure out myself and the CPU that you play against can actually be quite hard to beat at some points. Unfortunately, this game was never released outside of Japan so there is no English version. Truthfully, the Japanese in this game is not very beginner friendly. There is quite a bit of kanji and also the font is a bit hard to read sometimes. I would say this is suitable for an upper-intermediate speaker. However, if you are good at card games, then that's all you need to be able to enjoy this game since there is not much important written dialogue. It is fun to decorate the rooms and see how the little dogs interact with the furniture and accessories (sometimes they'll even visit each other!) but it's a very slow and casual game, so it can get a little boring after a while. This game appeals to a very specific niche; people who like cute characters and card games. There are more card games than puzzle games, as the only two types of puzzles offered are sliding puzzles and the regular kind of picture puzzles. It's a cute little game to reach for when you're bored but want to challenge yourself a little, same as you would play solitaire on your laptop.
