Hit credits or "beat layer one" as the kids say. This is not a perfect game. I think it would wildly benefit from dialing down the precision platforming, and the lack of brightness control actually pissed me off a few times, but. BUT. It cannot be overstated how difficult these kind of games are to make, these knowledge gate games, and what makes Animal Well shine even standing next to FEZ and Tunic is the depth of the mechanics. By the time I located the last few items, I got hit with a wave of excited curious euphoria that I have never felt in a game before, because not only did these items recontextualize the previous areas of the map, but the items themselves felt like lil puzzles as I tried to figure out what they could do. Incredible game.
