There are very few works of art, let alone video games, with the ability to capture a very specific point in time so perfectly, as well as creating its own identity. Red Dead Redemption 2 not only feels like a great American novel, dissecting the American Dream and capitalism so perfectly, but it's able to make every single character feel so well-written that they themselves deserve their own sole story. That, of course, isn't needed, because even if they're seen as a minor character in the big picture, they have the love and attention of a lead-protagonist. There's so much going on in this game, but I do believe it's the greatest story ever told and every time I play it, there's a hundred more things to marvel at. That's the way it is.
