@personperson while that's a common take for drakengard *1* (whether intentional or not, the gameplay being mind numbing goes well with a soundtrack that's designed to convey madness) i don't actually believe drak 3 is "bad on purpose" at all. i just think it's bad lmao. i liked how chunky the combat felt initially, but it certainly overstayed its welcome by the time i got to the final ending
though honestly i'm not sure if i'd even take much issue with the repetition as long as it ran at a reasonable framerate, but it chugs like a motherfucker despite looking like a ps2 title and it kinda gives me a headache on a physical ps3 (rpcs3 literally runs this game better than a real console)

oh maybe the fact that i'm playing this on rpcs3 factors into my enjoyment
btw just out curiosity how long are the next 3 branches compared to the first?

@personperson 100% definitely a factor. you can skim around here and see how frequently it dips. i wouldn't even care if it was a consistent 20, probably, but it bouncing all around the 15-30 range is frustrating as hell
it's been a long time since i played this so i don't remember exactly how long the routes are, but i wanna say ending A is roughly halfway through the game
