A lot of really good pieces! The day/night mechanic adds variety, and the heat system give your nights some REALLY high stakes. If you start running some races at heat 4 or 5, you'll bank some crazy-high rep if you can escape, but the chases are absolutely brutal. Leads to some really unique decision making for a racing game.

The car customization is great. Tons of basically free visual customization, and performance upgrades are easy and cheap to unlock. No MTX or DLC cars either. It's all there.
