It's commendable what it does, being one of the most unique games in the Fire Emblem series, but apart from that, it really doesn't feel good to play.
The map are HUGE, and each chapter takes a while to beat. Thankfully, you can save at the start of every turn, but they still feel exhausting to play.
It has a good replayability value, since you can pair up characters, engage in eugenics, or just make everyone a virgin to get "substitute" characters to have a completely different second generation.
Still better than FE6 though.
