Sights & Sounds
- As the title implies, this is a love letter to old school 2D stealth action games. Hell, the main character even looks like Solid Snake
- It's got the pixel art to match those old games, though it does look considerably nicer than either Metal Gear or Snake's Revenge on the NES
- The music is pretty good (especially during the boss fights), but the best part of this game's audio is the voice acting. The performances were really well done all around, especially Jesse Fox and The Colonel

Story & Vibes
- The story isn't anything new for the genre. You've been imprisoned for a crime you didn't commit. In trying to escape, you find that the organization keeping you hostage is building some sort of weapon. You've got to stop the bad guys and get out. This should all sound very familiar
- That stereotypical narrative is spun out into a pretty funny frame story where the main character is trying to impress a date, at least
- The dialogue is hilarious. I was consistently chuckling to myself the whole time
- Even though it's a parody of the early days of the Metal Gear franchise, it's all done in a pretty friendly way. It does a good job poking fun at the silliness of those plotlines and their overly serious tones without stooping to outright ridicule

Playability & Replayability
- If you ever played a top-down stealth action game from the NES era, this is basically the same thing. Gather weapons and tools, sneak around, knock out guards, and try to avoid open firefights unless it's a boss
- There's a few other quirks beyond that usual formula (like having to stabilize guards after shooting them since you promised the hot doctor you wouldn't kill anyone), but the mechanics are pretty easy to get the hang of
- I wish the bosses had been a little more creative. The final boss is pretty cool, but the bosses leading up to it are kinda forgettable
- If I do wind up replaying this game someday, it'll probably be for the humor more than the story

Overall Impressions & Performance
- I wasn't expecting this game to be as entertaining as it was. It was a very enjoyable throughout its entire 10-ish hours
- This was an excellent Steam Deck game. Pretty easy to pick up and put down whenever, but I didn't really want to put it down

Final Verdict
- 8.5/10. A genuinely funny game with some solid 2D stealth gameplay. In many ways, it doesn't feel like a new experience, but it's just so entertaining that I didn't really mind
