I totally get why this is some peoples' favorite in the trilogy, but I don't quite share that sentiment. The first case and last two cases are great with an incredible story built up between them, rivaled only by the long-running story of the first game. But the second and third trials are painfully boring and my patience wore quite thin with them. I spent two years at least getting through this game just because I found those two cases so slow.

For me, I think the first game of the series is still my favorite of the three because the running story is so good and satisfying, the filler case is my favorite filler one in the trilogy, and the extra fifth episode in the DS version and beyond is incredible and makes that game, like, 50% longer. This is definitely right behind it, though.
