Very happy to see French Saint Domingue and the brutality of slave trade represented in this medium, even though I wish it was more of a fuller game.

As for the game itself, it mostly shares the same pros and cons with the original game, Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag: a satisfying 18th century naval combat with on-foot missions being quite the worst in the entire series. It's more Black Flag for better or worse, and a story feels like a first act to something that never materialized. It also has some filler moments, where the game blocks progress until you do some side activities, which really adds to the frustration.
