All killer no filler type of campaign. Titanfall 2 is proof a modern day shooter can be innovative and can rise high above mediocrity.

First off there’s the games godlike movement. A fluid fast running speed combined with sliding, wall running and a double jump leaves to some of the most versatile movement i’ve played in a fps game. the game itself takes full advantage offering big levels with plenty of platforming opportunities. It’s legit a fps designed like a 3d platformer.

Missions offer tons of variety in location and objectives along with unique gimmicks that complement the mechanics very well. The gunplay and the occasional mech sections are always exciting especially when combined with the movement.

Everything is expertly paced throughout never leaving for spots of boredom or annoying sections. Everything gets introduced and ends right when they need to. And the short length further pushes you to replay this thrill ride again.

On top of that the story is decent and made me care throughout. it’s a little generic and could use better villains but Bt and Cooper’s growing friendship was enough to at least keep me engaged. Also the world itself is pretty cool and could use for some more expansion.

I can’t speak on the multiplayer but the campaign doesn’t get old.

solid 4.5/5
