This game is just an embarrassment of riches, the world is so detailed and there are so many fun little things to do. In addition to completing the story and collecting the Yo-Kai there's also the special missions, tons of maps to explore, minigames to play, fish and bugs to catch, and also the mystery spots, the urban legends, the gatcha machine, the endless tunnel... you can lose HOURS to this game. Add to that the nearly lethal levels of charm in the design and writing plus a healthy dose of humor and you have a great game that deserved a lot better than it got.

Major drawback is that the level of RNG to the combat/capture system is grating at times, but even then the battles can be very compelling when you get into the groove of it.
