Not sure how this game was ever reviewed so well. While I enjoyed the story and Peter's quibs the game play is horrendous. There is no camera control and it controls like a boat. I know I beat this as a child but I rage quite as an adult. The symbiote enemies in particular got to me. You do almost no damage, they can interrupt your "combos" and kill you in four hits. A gameplay loop of punch/kick three times and then jump away (sometimes being swiped out of the air) is just incredibly unfun. Maybe I am spoiled by contemporary game design but even with save states I couldn't hack this game. Did not live up to the nostalgia.
