This review contains spoilers

Coming in knowing absolutely nothing about the game other than the vague knowledge of it delving into some sort of meta-narrative nonsense was probably the best way to go through the game. While the cryptic ARG nonsense that someone other than a content creator (or someone who liked the game more than me) would only bother to cypher was a bit much for me despite a bunch of it being fairly accessible.

Plus a roguelite actively using that component to be part of the actual story is great. All that to say that Act 2 is a slog. While cool from a narrative standpoint. A shit deck made it borderline RNG and once I built one in like 3 minutes, it was so easy. It just walking back and forth without anything worthwhile in the middle. Act 3 pulls it back in, and the epilogue was surprisingly emotional in a weird unexpected way.
