The Warrior of Darkness chapter closed, we move straightaway to revealing the remaining disappeared Scions and their contributions to the Ala Mighan Resistance. This feels both abrupt and a long time coming: Ala Mhigo has been invoked time and again, after all, so in a way it was narratively unsustainable to continue namedropping it without actually doing much about the situation.

Beating Ilberd is clearly a high point, finally closing down the last bit of unfinished nastiness prior to Heavensward. Papalymo's sacrifice was a bit odd—we spend so little time with him that his death lacks the impact of Haurchefant's. I assume it was a nice throwback for those few players who went through FFXIV pre-ARR.
