Almost nothing was done to make improvements to the original game in Pokémon Shining Pearl. I still liked this game okay, but I didn't fall in love with it the same way I have with other Pokémon games, even those that are similar in quality. The game felt lazy. I didn't do much post game for the first time in a long time because of how dated the whole game felt. If anything it made me enjoy the newer generations even more.
