Honestly the main reason this wasn't a better experience for me is because it just made me wish even more that XC2 itself was better, so that even though the already good combat got considerably better, and even though the biggest problem with XC2 (the horny) was nearly absent, I just couldn't enjoy this DLC as much as I might think I should.
The side-quest progress gating should have been toned down, maybe less side quests needed to progress the main plot but better incentives to do more side quests.
The Story was a mess, feebly thrown together around the flashback scenes from the main game, it almost works sometimes, but its main effect was making me think about how it could have been better. Also maybe I'm dumb but I still don't understand Amalthus' deal and the plot should have returned to him. Also, super lame that the Aegis war was like 5 days.
Gormott theme and battle theme went crazy.
