Mothered is the most unique horror game I have ever seen.
Something that can only be fully appreciated by veterans of the genre for all of the clever twists it puts on established and overdone tropes with its unmatched meta storytelling. What seems like a simple and familiar narrative at the start, gradually turns into a genre bending masterpiece with horrifying implications.
A perfectly paced story (except for the apples lmao) underlined with an eerie yet nostalgic sounding OST, soul crushing sound design and a visual style that perfectly blends low poly graphics with beautiful atmospheric lighting.
