A microcosm, imagined as a whole large system of entwined and volatile lives of minuscule creatures. Everything is in order, and what is not, is brought to order by us. Everything is a part of the picture -- the insects, painted as naturalistically and thoroughly as flowers (nature doesn't tell what we call ugly and beautiful apart) in a loving, magical, Bilibin-style, manner, all kinds of pollen seeds and nectar drops we are made to notice by the gameplay (probably missing the changes our characters undergo). If I could be bothered to google a solution for the roots puzzle in the 2nd chapter, I might've even finished that, but I appreciate the idea.
