"i should have been the one to fill your dark soul with light" has been my text notification sound on my phone for over 4 years now

A lot of people really loved this one, but I think it was where my interest in Call of Duty started to wane a little bit. Black Ops II reimagines the series in a near-future setting which allows for some unique mechanics like double jump boots or a gun that can shoot through walls.

The campaign tries some interesting things, like a Real Time Strategy mode that only kind of works (I would just take control of a soldier and take out the enemy forces myself). There is also some decision-making in the campaign which leads to different endings, a still novel notion at the time.

I never got very into the other modes in Black Ops II, though the zombies mode seemed more scaled back from a lot of the series' offerings on this front. Don't have as much to say on this one- I enjoyed it for a little bit but put it down faster than some of the other CODs.

I only played zombies , have a bunch of hours on that . MP is ass , story mode is meh . Zombies is ok .

This game was fun when it first came out and played coop. But then when we were playing a question came up "Why is this game fun?" Nobody was able to answer that. We realized this game is not fun but psychologically tricking us into thinking it was fun. Ask yourself gamer "Why is this game fun?"
