A lot of people really loved this one, but I think it was where my interest in Call of Duty started to wane a little bit. Black Ops II reimagines the series in a near-future setting which allows for some unique mechanics like double jump boots or a gun that can shoot through walls.
The campaign tries some interesting things, like a Real Time Strategy mode that only kind of works (I would just take control of a soldier and take out the enemy forces myself). There is also some decision-making in the campaign which leads to different endings, a still novel notion at the time.
I never got very into the other modes in Black Ops II, though the zombies mode seemed more scaled back from a lot of the series' offerings on this front. Don't have as much to say on this one- I enjoyed it for a little bit but put it down faster than some of the other CODs.
