Ultimately, the two part gameplay cycle of Xexyz contains some pretty good shooting, and some pretty poor platforming. Yet it's the combination of both ideas that grants Xexyz the strength and the game's structure commitment to ensuring both ideas get the same amount of spotlight is what makes Xexyz stand out.
