Gets a lot of flack for no reason other than the fact that a more popular creature-collecting franchise exists. Anyway, you should play Yo-Kai Watch; it can be tedious, to be sure, but it’s packed with so much charm that I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. The gameplay, similarly, is unique and fun, and the story is charming in its simplicity. It’s very much meant for kids, don’t get me wrong, but it’s enjoyable nonetheless if you can embrace the childlike whimsy. Oh, and I like a lot of the Yo-Kai designs themselves; they’re not actually very creature-like and that’s the point, I think. It’s fun stuff. Genuinely, I’d call myself a fan.
