The most I've enjoyed a Metroidvania in awhile - the intimidating freedom to go in any direction and solve puzzles using either using your unlocked tools or your own wits was super refreshing. I got past a few "dead end" sections by accident that I think were supposed to be accessed using a specific item a few times - I think? It's unclear, and that's really neat. That's the thing with this game that is so cool, assume and expect nothing because you don't know what lies ahead, and how you'll tackle it.

There's a chase section that was quite possibly one of the hardest and tension filled stretches of game I've played in years. It felt impossible but I knew I could do it - you had to be flawless in execution. There's quite a bit of difficulty in movement, you can fall or miss a jump pretty easily and if you're not careful, and respawn way further back than you realized if you didn't save at a save point.

I got the credits, and read that there's a a lot more to collect and do, but I ended the game with I think around half of the eggs just from exploring naturally, so there's still a lot left to find. I'll prob dip back in and wander around again but for a finished "initial playthrough" I'm really satisfied with this one.

Great job to the sole developer - it must be nuts to make a game with this many secrets and puzzles alone - and big props to Dunkey and Leah for their first published game
