I was always excited to play dead space but after this I’m quite disappointed. Fun combat mainly due to the fantastic gore system(which is so important to me in games) and cool creature design but it wasn’t challenging at all and yes there is higher difficulty modes to help with this but it doesn’t completely change the combat design. it got me thinking of how perfect the balance is of how challenging and rewarding the combat in re4 remake is.
Exploration was booty cheeks I got sick of constantly opening doors there were so many gawd damn.
Upgrade system sucked I wish it would let me pick what I want instead of being forced to choose ones just so I can get to the upgrade I actually want.
Story and characters both so so boring and I went in with low expectations for the story cus these types of games aren’t known for their story but damn I didn’t expect it to be boring.
Also I hate how slow the game can be in terms of doing the smallest shit like opening ur map or inventory or saving the game takes that little bit longer cus the game wants to immerse you and be realistic, and I appreciate this but honestly it just got on my nerves.
Hopefully dead space 2 is better I’ll go play it thru Xbox backwards compatibility instead of waiting years for the remake.
Also Game wasn’t that scary to me 🤭 got me a few times I’ll admit but nothing to what ppl hail it as imo
