this is definitely one of the Persona 5 games of all time.

idk how to eloquently describe my likes and dislikes without a simple bullet list so here goes

likes:
• the first half of the game was enjoyable to play through
• toshiro and erina are fantastic characters, they really put their whole atlussy into them.
• I liked the art style mostly because it was sort of a lankier style of chibi compared to PQ2.
• the gameplay was engaging, albeit a bit easy, and the mechanics kept the game decently fresh throughout the story
• I found the story to be entertaining and some of the twists were cool as fuck.

dislikes:
• the music in this game doesn't really hit as hard as I'd like it to and it ends up just being pretty forgettable compared to the crazy soundtrack that Strikers dropped
• the latter half of the game's mission structure was pretty repetitive
• the first kingdom is too long, in comparison to the other kingdoms, and it skewed my perception on the length of the game into thinking it would be longer/spread out more.
• the final boss fight, and the music that played during it, was rather underwhelming
• futaba got so annoying with the navigation to the point where I was just wishing she'd shut up, lol. she did not have to congratulate my controlled character every single time they got into cover or land an attack.

overall, this game can be a hit or a miss depending on your interests. (it was right up my alley as I liked Mario + Rabbids and that's what drew me to the gameplay the most.) try this game out on game pass if you like tactics games and Persona 5. also, spoilers if you haven't played either base Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal (if you plan on buying the DLC) as this game takes place after the events of P5.
