Mario Kart 64 is probably the game that launched the Mario Kart series into stardom. I consider it to be just as good as Mario Kart 8 in terms of gameplay and quality, the only downside being how limited you are in terms of characters and courses. Aside from that, this is still amazingly fun to play with friends. Tight controls, the items function well and the course design is fantastic.
