honestly one of my favorite interactive fiction games out there. while some of the old books can be pretty rough, i would say most of the releases, esp newer ones like legend of the willow, arcanum, theodora, etc, are good quality and interesting not only in writing, but in their unique backgrounds, sprites and music. also, the devs are wonderful and spoil their players with diamond rushes, free plays, ‘shopping’ days, etc. genuinely shocked more people don’t know about it!
